We portray our necklaces as accurately as possible on this website by including photos and descriptions. If you do not see any details or need additional photos, please reach out to us for more information. Please carefully review the descriptions of a piece before ordering, as we cannot accept returns based on issues with font, size or thickness. In addition, the products may be depicted larger or smaller than their actual size depending on your monitor and/or computer settings. Colors of stones can also differ depending on your settings. Because these variations are out of our control, we do not accept returns based on size or color issues. Once an order is placed we cannot promise email updates, changes or cancellations will be caught in time. Please be sure you call us with questions prior to placing your order.
If we made a mistake, you can call us to obtain a return authorization number to return the product. NO ORDER WILL BE CHANGED OR REFUNDED WITHOUT AN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER, and the item will be returned at your expense if it is sent back without authorization.
We sell rope chains in sterling silver (white, yellow, rose), 10K (white and yellow) 14K (white, yellow, rose) chains. They withstand most normal wear and tear and are warrantied for 3 months from ship date. We recommend you not sleeping, exercising, or swimming in the product to prolong its life. Our stones are warrantied for 6 months from ship date and will be replaced if lost after that for a small fee. Learn more about our birthstones here.
We would like to think we are flawless, but we are human and occasionally make mistakes. If you find that we made your piece different than from your original order (i.e. misspelling, wrong metal, etc.) please let us know immediately (within 30 days after it has shipped) and we will make it right. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to report an error with your piece and attach a few photos. No return will be accepted without prior authorization from Alison & Ivy. Since our personalized products are custom made and cannot be re-sold, WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS ON PERSONALIZED PRODUCTS. If a return is accepted for store credit or exchange, it may still be subject to a handling and recycling fee. Custom design, rush fees and/or shipping fees are non-refundable.
A&I pieces purchased at various timeframes may slightly differ in appearance. We try our best to stay true to our beginnings, but some changes will happen due to customer feedback, cost, manufacturing process & technology, inventory etc. We are always looking at improving our product to keep costs low and still deliver high quality.

If you purchase official any Alison & Ivy pieces from a jeweler (online or in store) and are unhappy with your purchase, please share your concerns with your jeweler or supplier and encourage them to contact us. To maintain the relationship with our jewelers/suppliers and theirs to you as a customer, it is important to us and your jeweler that you share your concerns with them. We will do our best to help but please reach out to your jeweler with your concerns and tell them they can contact us directly for a possible resolution. We are unable to offer assistance because we do not have you as a customer in our systems therefore do not have any of your personal order details therefore cannot locate your order.
We will NOT contact any jeweler or supplier on your behalf as they will not provide us any information about their customers due to their own privacy policies. Please note: we have our MSRPs for our brand posted on the site and jewelers may choose to follow these prices or not. They also may choose to extend offers to their customers. We cannot control the actions of a jeweler especially their prices. We will not offer refunds or credits on price discrepancies between prices posted on our website and what you pay to your jeweler.
If you own a jewelry store, boutique and/or ecommerce site in the United States or Canada, we welcome you to resell on your site and in store once you have been approved. Please complete a wholesale application including business address, email, and phone number here. We do not authorize the selling of our copyrighted designs especially our monograms on Etsy, Amazon, Ebay or any other site than your approved business website. Please note reselling on Etsy is NOT ALLOWED per Etsy, please read their handmade policy here.
We collect sales tax for shipments delivered in Illinois. IL purchases are taxed at a rate of 10.25%.

PACKAGE THEFT AND SHIPPING
We hate that we must address this but unfortunately, we recently have had one of our customers become a victim of package theft. We too have been victims of package theft from our property. So, due to the increase of package pirates, you are responsible for making sure you do not become victims of package theft from your mailbox or property. We recommend that you ship to a business address where someone will be available to accept your package if necessary. We provide tracking for each package. It is the responsibility of the receiver to follow and check their tracking number until it reaches the shipping destination.
In the case that you are a victim of package theft after your package has been delivered, we recommend that you file a police report and notify your local UPS office. We can make a claim to the shipping party on your behalf but please note, we will not replace your item until the claim is approved. A claim could take up to 3 weeks to be reviewed and is not guaranteed to be approved. Package theft is unfortunate, and we sympathize with those that are victims. We will work with you as best as we can to help replace, recover, and/or make a claim.
